"Cargo 2000" introduces logo for renamed "Cargo iQ"

International Air Transport Association (IATA) has renamed its brand Cargo 2000 (C2K) to Cargo iQ (CARGOiQ) since March 16., announced Ariaen Zimmermann, Executive Director in charge of Cargo iQ (ex-Executive Director in charge of Cargo 2000), at the 10th World Cargo Symposium (WCS) in the afternoon of that day. Zimmermann said, "We will go ahead with smart data projects more strategically from here on," indicating that it will take a policy of building up more detailed cargo information sharing system by enhancing benchmarks.

Also on the day were introduced IATA's five new members, including Emirates SkyCargo (air cargo division of Emirates), Brussels Airport, Frankfurt Airport, Vienna Airport, and CargoAware, division of the technology company Franwell.

The 'i' and 'Q' in "Cargo iQ" have multiple meanings including information and implementation for 'i' and quality for 'Q'.

The members of C2K have been automatically transferred to those of Cargo iQ in accordance with the renaming.
